UnDeFeAtEd

Our neighborhood team was the Orange Dragons and they were AWESOME out on the soccer field. Here is our team with Coach Jake.

Here they are acting all silly - but let me tell you that they were totally serious on the soccer field. We went undefeated the whole season and only had 4 goals scored on us. These boys really listened and learned from their coach and displayed some awesome passing skills, played tough defense, and stayed in their positions quite well for 6 year old boys. It really helps having a coach that LOVES the game of soccer and LOVES coaching these kids.

Hudson was the high scorer for the season and averaged 5 - 6 goals per game. He lives for soccer and is determined to score and win when he steps on the field. We are so proud of him and look forward to next season.

6 is Super!

I can not believe that Hudson is 6, the years have flown by so quickly!!! He has been such a blessing to our family and we have all enjoyed watching him grow into the crazy, confident kid that he is.
His Halloween birthday lasts about a week with all the parties that go on that week. He had his birthday celebration at school and then the Halloween party at school, and then handing out Halloween treats and being sung to at his soccer game and then the family party at Nana's.
Here he is at kindergarten with all his spooky friends.
Nana always does a birthday poster for the kids!
All the birthday gifts. Nana makes her homeade stew in a pumpkin for his birthday dinner and he gets to eat on the "special" plate and drink out of the "spooky" cup!

This picture is my very favorite... whenever I asked Hudson what he wanted for his birthday he would reply "a nutcracker!" So I found this pirate nutcracker that would match his room and he was sooo excited. I also love Sean's smile in this picture, he just cracks me up!

This is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween!!!

Happy Haunting!!!

Sean, Jordan and I feeling like total rockstars at the neighborhood fall festival.

The make-up was quite time consuming so at the last minute on Halloween (actually because we were running out of time) we decided to not do the whole KISS production.

Soooo, on Halloween...

Jake was a skater punk..... with his friends Daniel and Bradley!

Jordan was still the KISS drummer. So funny that all her friends are in little dresses and then KAPOW - here's Jordan all rocked out! She loves to be unique :)

Hudson was Nacho Libre and he looked awesome! I knew that watching that movie 12 times on our motor home trip would come in handy for something!!!

I dressed up as a witch to hand out candy and Sean threw his Joker mask on to take Hudson around the neighborhood. My mom stopped by real quick as a spider witch to say hi too!

Kenzie was at Sadie's that night for the Monster Mash, so pictures of her and her date and friends will come later -

FOOTBALL

Jake is loving football this year! He is on the same team as his best friends and getting lots of playing time. He has caught 2 two point conversions! I am happy that he jumped right back into football after taking 2 years off to play soccer. I am not a huge football fan due to all the injuries but he is having a good time and enjoying himself and that is what matters most!

These are the 3 best friends... Devin Rivers - Jake - Preston Allen. They are all so supportive of each other out on the field.

Preston is looking fiesty in this picture. He looks like he is going to tear someone up when he gets back out on the field.
A few action shots of our game against Snow Canyon. Yea - we won!

There is so much joy in watching your kids participate in what they love, no matter what it is. I truly live for the weekends (even if they are crazy busy). I know too soon that this will all be over and done and for now this is what truly matters the most;)

The Agony of Defeat!!!

REGION 9 CHAMPIONS!!!

Pine View Varsity soccer had such an amazing soccer season this year! We lost only 1 game all season and were the Region CHAMPIONS! What an awesome group of ladies! We are so very sad to say goodbye to our beautiful and talented 5 seniors! (bottom row)

Our first game in the State Playoffs was Timpanogos. Not the greatest draw for us but we were ready to play. Timpanogos was 5A last year and took 2nd place in state. We knew this was going to be a tough team and every girl played at 110%!
Our Varsity team was short handed. One of our Star Seniors broke her nose at the previous game and could not play. We did not sub the entire game and were exhausted.

We put up an awesome fight but in the end walked away defeated. Heartbreaking to say the least! Until next year.........

Fall Sports #1

Fall is my most favorite time of the year. I love the weather cooling down, the leaves changing colors and all of my children participating in sports.

My sweet Jordan, decided to take a break from soccer this year and tryout for the 7th grade volleyball team. She made it and is playing awesome, in fact her whole team is playing great! I have never payed much attention to volleyball, but what a fun sport! I also have never payed attention to what long, skinny legs Jordan has! Lucky girl :)

Hudson is on our neighborhood soccer team "The Dragons"! They are 3 for 3! They are all good little soccer players and have fun playing together and winning!
Check out Hudson's form - he is such an amazing little player. I love this picture with his friend Mitchell behind him. Mitchell has his tongue out in every picture we take. He plays with as much aggression as Hudson. The 2 of them are hard to stop! They really support each other too!
Pine View girls soccer is #1 in region right now at 8 and 1. We have just 3 more games to go! I can't believe it is almost over. Kenz has played awesome this year especially after adjusting to a new position! We love this team and all the girls on it - they are such great gals!

Here is Kenz taking a shot (left footed) against Snow Canyon!

My next blog will be about Jake and his PV 7th grade football team whom are 2 and 0! I just haven't been able to get the good camera at one of his games yet.... But what a bunch of studs they are!

Pine View Homecoming 2009

Kenzie had her first formal dance this last Saturday! It was such an exciting day and yet I can't believe that she is already old enough to date! Yikes! Homecoming already? Really?
It was so fun for me to get her all dolled up! Kenzie is my total athlete that is happy 100% of the time in her soccer clothes. I must say that she cleaned up nicely! And I think she enjoyed all the pampering and oohing and ahhing herself.

Her date was Trevor Oldroyd and he was quite the handsome guy! They looked great!

Our favorite hair stylist "Stefani Jones" did Kenzie's hair. It turned out awesome, but we knew it would with Stef in charge!

Front, back, side to side, front, front, back, back, side to side....
