Preference 2010

Kenzie, her best friend, Sadi and some other friends took their dates out to Sand Hollow Reservoir to kayak across the lake and have a picnic, for their day date!
Here they are driving out there...

Kayaking across the lake...
Kenzie and her date, Justin!

Kenzie and all the guys!

All cleaned up and ready to go...
Kenzie and Justin look so darn cute! Sean and I were the lucky photographers, well I should say Sean, I was just there for moral support!

Kenzie and Justin - Sadie and Darren! These four all play basketball for Pine View High!

Jake sporting his Pine View jersey getting a little love from the girls!

We can't forget to show a little love for soccer!

The whole group - they all looked great :)

EASTER 2010

I love our families Easter tradition of getting together and doing something fun! I can remember before I was married going to Snow Canyon and bar-b-queing with all the family, then as I began my family it changed to different parks, and lately has been crawdad fishing up at the Veyo pool! I must say that my kids love crawdad fishing, especially because it is the only time of year that we go. We love how my niece Jamie and her darling family come each Easter, to celebrate this fun tradition with us. (Too bad, I don't have a picture of them!) My mom and dad bring all the food, prizes and buckets for crawdads. We all just show up for the fun and good food!!!

Spring Break in Newport Beach!

Our first stop this year on our spring break trip was Riverside, California. Not so great of a city but what a fabulous little gem "The Mission Inn" is. This place is definately worth checking out if you are ever in the area!

I must apologize for a few of these pictures! My family thought it would be so funny to flip me off in an unnoticeable way while I was happily taking pictures. So laugh out loud at their humor, while you look at these. As you can see in the picture above, it was hard for them to contain themselves from completely losing control! Jordan doesn't quite dare in this picture and thank heavens, Hudson doesn't have a clue as to what is going on!!!

We spent a day in Hollywood! Kenzie was happy to have her picture in front of Ringo Starr's house, being the Beatles fan that she is...
Jordan was equally excited to have her picture with the Mad Hatter!
The whole clan with Wolverine.
And last but not least, as my children called him "the fat Spiderman"! What uncanny skills he had lifting Hudson up for this picture... He truly was amazing!!!
We drove around with the "Movie Stars Map" and found Simon Cowell's house in Beverly Hills! It was one of the few that you could actually see from the street. Can't wait until the next trip to Southern California...

Kenzie's Jr. Prom 2010

Kenzie arrived home after their day date, covered from head to toe in whipped cream! After bowling, they went to the park for a picnic and then had a whipped cream fight. Looks like lots of fun!

All cleaned up and ready to go!

Trying to pin Konley's flower on.....

Finally Sean had to step in and get the job done!

Kenzie got asked by Konley Heaton and attended the Jr. Prom at his school (Desert Hills High)! She has known Konley since elementary and had such a great time. Don't they look fabulous :)

UnDeFeAtEd

Our neighborhood team was the Orange Dragons and they were AWESOME out on the soccer field. Here is our team with Coach Jake.

Here they are acting all silly - but let me tell you that they were totally serious on the soccer field. We went undefeated the whole season and only had 4 goals scored on us. These boys really listened and learned from their coach and displayed some awesome passing skills, played tough defense, and stayed in their positions quite well for 6 year old boys. It really helps having a coach that LOVES the game of soccer and LOVES coaching these kids.

Hudson was the high scorer for the season and averaged 5 - 6 goals per game. He lives for soccer and is determined to score and win when he steps on the field. We are so proud of him and look forward to next season.

6 is Super!

I can not believe that Hudson is 6, the years have flown by so quickly!!! He has been such a blessing to our family and we have all enjoyed watching him grow into the crazy, confident kid that he is.
His Halloween birthday lasts about a week with all the parties that go on that week. He had his birthday celebration at school and then the Halloween party at school, and then handing out Halloween treats and being sung to at his soccer game and then the family party at Nana's.
Here he is at kindergarten with all his spooky friends.
Nana always does a birthday poster for the kids!
All the birthday gifts. Nana makes her homeade stew in a pumpkin for his birthday dinner and he gets to eat on the "special" plate and drink out of the "spooky" cup!

This picture is my very favorite... whenever I asked Hudson what he wanted for his birthday he would reply "a nutcracker!" So I found this pirate nutcracker that would match his room and he was sooo excited. I also love Sean's smile in this picture, he just cracks me up!
